ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY – Asterias Beach Resort

Asterias Beach Resort is firmly committed to running a sustainable and responsible operation. Our hotel has been designed with special attention to environmental protection, energy efficiency and respect for the natural environment. Our employees are trained to follow the best practices in the areas of energy and water consumption, recycling, waste disposal and gas consumption.

ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATIONS

Asterias Beach Resort is currently in the implementation phase of Travelife certification. This certification underlines our strong commitment to sustainability, responsible tourism and the protection of the environment.

ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION

Asterias Beach Resort has made significant investments to minimize its environmental footprint:

• Energy-efficient windows and roof insulation

• Intelligent Building Management System (BMS)

• Energy-saving lamps and lighting that can be switched off automatically

• Magnetic main switches and sensor-controlled air conditioners

RECYCLING

The hotel has implemented a comprehensive recycling and waste separation system, including paper reuse, recycling of waste oil and batteries, and cooperation with local partners.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Waste that cannot be recycled internally is disposed of through authorized partners to ensure legally compliant and environmentally friendly waste treatment.

WATER CONSUMPTION

Water consumption is monitored via the BMS system. Water-saving fittings and drought-resistant plants help to reduce consumption.

BIODEGRADABLE PRODUCTS

We use carefully selected, biodegradable cleaning products in housekeeping, kitchen, and F&B. The swimming pool is maintained with salt ionization systems, an environmentally friendly alternative to chlorine.
